Description

Muscadine Eudora Grape Vine

The Muscadine Eudora grape vine (Vitis rotundifolia 'Eudora') is a female cultivar of muscadine grape that is known for its excellent taste and texture, large berries, and high sugar content. It is also resistant to Pierce's disease and many fruit rots.

Eudora grapes are black in color and typically weigh about 10 grams each. They have a thick skin and a juicy, sweet flesh. The grapes ripen in mid-season (late August in southern Mississippi) and can be eaten fresh, made into juice or jelly, or used in winemaking.

Eudora grape vines are vigorous growers and can reach up to 20 feet tall and wide. They are relatively low-maintenance plants, but they do require a pollinator cultivar in order to produce fruit. Some popular pollinator cultivars for Eudora include Fry, Nesbit, and Carlos.

To care for an Eudora grape vine, simply plant it in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Water your vine regularly, especially during the first growing season. Fertilize your vine once a month with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season. You may also want to prune your vine in the late winter or early spring to remove any dead or diseased wood.

Eudora grape vines are a beautiful and productive addition to any garden. They are a great choice for homeowners who want to grow their own grapes, or for commercial growers who are looking for a high-quality muscadine grape cultivar.

Here are some of the benefits of growing a Muscadine Eudora grape vine:

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.

We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.

Note
Please note that the plant will be shipped in its pot, securely fastened with multiple layers of clear tape to prevent any shifting or damage during transit. This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
