Heritage Raspberry

Heritage Raspberry (Rubus idaeus 'Heritage') is a popular variety of raspberry that is known for its large, sweet, and juicy berries. It is also a prolific producer, often yielding two crops of berries per season. Heritage raspberries are excellent for eating fresh, canning, freezing, and making jams and jellies.

Heritage raspberry plants are vigorous growers and can reach heights of up to 6 feet. They have a spreading habit and produce long, thorny canes. The flowers are white to pale pink in color and bloom in the spring. The berries are typically ready to harvest in midsummer and again in the fall.

Heritage raspberries are relatively easy to grow and care for. They prefer full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Heritage raspberries are also drought-tolerant once established. To care for heritage raspberries, simply water them regularly and fertilize them in the spring with a balanced fertilizer. Remove any spent canes after fruiting to encourage new growth.

Heritage raspberries are a versatile fruit that can be used in a variety of ways. They are excellent for eating fresh, canning, freezing, and making jams and jellies. Heritage raspberries can also be added to smoothies, yogurt parfaits, and other desserts.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.

We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.

FAQ's

Note
Please note that the plant will be shipped in its pot, securely fastened with multiple layers of clear tape to prevent any shifting or damage during transit. This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
