The Golden Rain Tree typically grows to be 30-40 feet tall and wide. It has a rounded crown and dense, green foliage. The leaves are bipinnate, meaning that they are divided twice into smaller leaflets. The leaflets are lance-shaped and have a serrated margin.
In the summer, the Golden Rain Tree produces large clusters of golden yellow flowers. The flowers are followed by long, hanging clusters of papery seed capsules. The seed capsules turn a rusty brown color in the fall and persist into the winter.
The Golden Rain Tree is a relatively low-maintenance plant. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is also drought-tolerant once established. The Golden Rain Tree does not require much pruning, but it can be pruned in the late winter or early spring to remove dead or damaged branches and to maintain its shape.
The Golden Rain Tree is a great choice for a variety of landscaping uses. It can be planted as a single specimen tree, in groups, or in borders. It can also be used to create a privacy screen or a windbreak. The Golden Rain Tree is also a good choice for planting in containers.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
