The Climax Blueberry is a variety from the Rabbiteye family. The Rabbiteye blueberries bush is classified as a vigorously fruit bearing plant that is naturally heat tolerant. Because of its ability to tolerate heat and its susceptibility to cold climates, the Rabbiteye blueberry bush is well suited for planting in the Southeastern US.
Easy to Grow, Tall Bush Packed with Berries Climax Blueberry is one of the oldest, most proven varieties of rabbit eye blueberries available. It grows best in hot and humid climates and will exceed the height of its highbush relatives to the north. The Climax is a fast grower and can reach 15 feet tall if left unpruned.
With the characteristic adaptability of rabbiteye blueberries, the Climax Blueberry is one of the easiest berry plants to grow. And few fruiting plants are as disease resistant, which means you won't need to spray chemicals on the fruit that you'll be eating.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
