Blue-Eyed Grass
Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium spp.) is a genus of over 100 species of flowering plants in the iris family (Iridaceae). It is native to North and South America, and is found in a variety of habitats, including meadows, prairies, and woodlands. Blue-eyed grass is characterized by its narrow, grass-like leaves and its delicate, blue or blue-violet flowers. The flowers have yellow centers and are borne on slender stems. Blue-eyed grass blooms in the spring and summer, and is a popular food source for bees and other pollinators.
Blue-eyed grass is a relatively easy plant to grow. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is also drought-tolerant once established. Blue-eyed grass does not require much pruning, but it can be deadheaded to encourage reblooming.
Blue-eyed grass is a great choice for a variety of landscaping uses. It can be planted as a groundcover, in borders, or in containers. It can also be used to create a naturalized area in the garden. Blue-eyed grass is also a good choice for planting in urban areas because it is tolerant of pollution.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
