Geranium X 'Rozanne' Cranesbill

Geranium x 'Rozanne' Cranesbill is a beautiful and easy-to-grow perennial plant that is prized for its long-lasting bloom time and its ability to attract butterflies and other pollinators. It is a hybrid of two hardy geranium species, Geranium himalayense and Geranium wallichianum, and is hardy in zones 5-9.

'Rozanne' grows to be 12-18 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide. It has a spreading habit and produces a profusion of saucer-shaped, violet-blue flowers with white centers from late spring to fall. The flowers are self-cleaning, so there is no need to deadhead them.

'Rozanne' is a very low-maintenance plant. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is also drought tolerant once established.

To grow 'Rozanne', simply plant it in spring or fall in a sunny to partly shady spot with well-drained soil. Water regularly, especially during the first growing season to establish the plant. Once established, water deeply when the soil is dry to the touch. Fertilize in the spring with a balanced fertilizer.

'Rozanne' is a beautiful and versatile addition to any garden. It can be used in borders, rock gardens, or containers. It is also a good choice for mass plantings, as it creates a stunning display of color throughout the growing season.

Here are some additional tips for caring for 'Rozanne':

  • Mulch around the plant in the spring to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
  • Divide the plant every 2-3 years to keep it healthy and vigorous.
  • Protect the plant from winter damage by mulching around the base in the fall.

With proper care, your 'Rozanne' will thrive for many years to come and attract butterflies and other pollinators to your garden.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.

We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.

Note
Please note that the plant will be shipped in its pot, securely fastened with multiple layers of clear tape to prevent any shifting or damage during transit. This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
