When choosing rhododendrons for your garden, it is important to consider the following factors:
- Climate:Some rhododendrons are more cold-hardy than others. Be sure to choose rhododendrons that are suited to your climate.
- Soil type:Rhododendrons prefer acidic soil. If your soil is not acidic, you can amend it with peat moss or pine needles.
- Sun exposure:Some rhododendrons prefer full sun, while others prefer partial shade. Choose rhododendrons that will receive the appropriate amount of sunlight in your garden.
- Size:Rhododendrons can range in size from small shrubs to large trees. Choose rhododendrons that will fit the space you have available in your garden.
Once you have chosen your rhododendrons, plant them in a well-drained location with acidic soil. Water regularly, especially during hot weather. Fertilize once a month during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
Rhododendrons are beautiful and versatile plants that can add interest and texture to any landscape. With a little care, they will thrive for many years to come.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
