Agastache cane

It is a plant native to the mountain forests of New Mexico and Texas, where it grows at altitudes up to 6,000 feet. It is an evergreen plant that reaches a height of 2-3 feet and a width of 1.5 feet. The leaves are oval and grayish green. The flowers are tubular and raspberry pink. It blooms from mid-summer to early fall.

Agastache cana is an easy-to-grow plant that prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is tolerant of drought and light shade. It is an attractive plant for butterflies and hummingbirds.

Here are some tips for growing Agastache cana:

  • Plant the plant in a location that receives full sun or light shade.
  • Amend the soil with compost or other organic material to improve drainage.
  • Water the plant regularly, especially during the first growing season.
  • Fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
  • Mulch around the plant to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
  • Prune the plant as necessary to remove dead or diseased branches and to maintain its desired shape.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.

We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.

Note
Please note that the plant will be shipped in its pot, securely fastened with multiple layers of clear tape to prevent any shifting or damage during transit. This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
