The Ocala Anise is a low maintenance, evergreen native to Central Florida. With mature heights up to 15 feet, Ocala Anise are generally considered large shrubs or small trees. They are well suited for creating borders or as single specimens in smaller landscapes.

- Light, yellow-green, elongated oval leaves which produce a licorice-like aroma when crushed. Flowers from May to June, but blooms are insignificant. Fruit is showy, multi-pointed, and star shaped. Multi-trunk structure with a moderate growth rate.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
