- Partial Sun to Full sun
- Mature Height :3 Feet
- Mature Spread :3 Feet
- Zone : 4 - 9
- This hydrangea blooms on new wood (this year‚¬„¢s growth) and on old wood (last year‚¬„¢s growth.) This means that regardless of winter damage, it will have flowers.
- Little pruning is needed ‚¬€œ just remove dead stems. If you plant it in a container, you will have better control of the soil pH, resulting in the boldest colors.
- A pH below 7 is acid and gives purple/blue flowers; a pH above 7 is alkaline and results in pink blooms.
- When planting in a container, this shrub needs a soil depth of 18 inches to 2 feet. Always remember to choose a container with good drainage. In the landscape, space the hydrangea 24 - 36 inches from other plants.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
