Description
‘Clear Creek' is a hybrid of Rhododendron austrinum with an Exbury azalea type by Dr. Aromi of Mobile, Alabama. 'Clear Creek' has nice large trusses of yellow blooms with a white throat and pink stamens. The base of the yet-to-bloom bloom trusses are a pink turning to yellow toward the top. This creates beautiful color combo that puts on a show in the garden. 'Clear Creek' may reach 6 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years. Give 'Clear Creek' plenty of organic matter and good drainage for best growth.

- Mature size is 6 to 10 ft tall and 5 to 8 ft wide
- Specialty - Domed clusters of large pale yellow honeysuckle-like flowers with white center and tube highlights bloom in mid spring. Best grown in part sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
