The Autumn Sangria ‚¬ž¢ Encore ® Azalea has very large, open flowers of a bright pink-purple color. These are produced not only in spring, but also through summer and fall, right to the first frost. The plant itself grows rapidly ‚¬œ up to 12 inches a year ‚¬œ to become a dense dome of evergreen foliage 4 feet tall and wide. Make it part of the foundation planting around your home, grow it in beds, singly or in groups, plant it beneath deciduous trees in a woodland setting, and make low informal hedges and barriers with it. Everywhere you use it you will love the bright color ‚¬œ and even in winter the evergreen foliage is lighter in tone and looks great.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring. We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture."
