3-gallon Hana Fuyu Japanese Persimmon grown in Yotsundani, produces large reddish fruit resembling a squat tomato. Non-astringent, high in fiber & vitamins.
Hana Fuyu is a non-astringent variety of Japanese persimmon. It is known for its sweet, honey-like flavor and its smooth, creamy texture. The fruits are typically round and flattened, with a deep orange color.
Hana Fuyu persimmon trees are hardy in USDA zones 7-10. They can grow to be 10-12 feet tall and 10-15 feet wide. They prefer full sun and well-drained soil.
The Hana Fuyu is a self-fertile variety, so it does not need another tree to pollinate it. The fruits ripen in late fall or early winter.
