Note
Please note that the plant will be shipped in its pot, securely fastened with multiple layers of clear tape to prevent any shifting or damage during transit. This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Product Details

Description

Astilbe chinensis 'Visions in Pink' is a compact, clump-forming perennial that produces elegant, fluffy light pink plumes above attractive bronze-green foliage. Blooming mid to late summer, it brings fresh pastel color to the shade garden just when many other perennials begin to fade.

Perfect for borders, woodland gardens, or containers, this Astilbe thrives in moist, rich soil and partial to full shade. It is also deer-resistant and attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies.

  • Partial Shade to Full Shade
  • Mature Height: 14 to 18 Inches
  • Mature Spread: 12 to 18 Inches
  • Zone: 4 - 9

Plant Care Instructions and Attributes

  • Prefers moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil.
  • Ideal for borders, shaded paths, or mass plantings in woodland settings.
  • Deadhead faded flowers to maintain a clean appearance.
  • Tolerant of clay soils and humidity. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Note: Ships securely in a nursery pot. May appear dormant or trimmed during cooler months—normal for perennials and will regrow in spring/summer.

We cannot ship some plants or sizes to California due to agricultural restrictions.
