The Autumn Chiffon Encore Azalea is not your normal everyday azalea. It has all the great characteristics of an original azalea, but it has so much more to offer! The Autumn Chiffon Encore Azalea flowers have a dark pink center that fades to a beautiful light pink, creating a gradient effect. During the flowering seasons, the trumpet shaped flowers grow in clusters at the end of each branch and blankets the entire shrub. This Encore azalea in an evergreen shrub, meaning that foliage is present all year around. No more naked shrubs! Small and compact, this shrub only grows to a height of 2-3ft. From spring to summer you can enjoy pretty pink petals for the entire warm season. The Autumn Chiffon Encore Azalea is a compact shrub that fills in those smaller spaces in your landscaping. This shrub is great to use as a foundation planting or included in a natural wooded area. Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
