Red Buds Open Into Beautiful Purple Pink Flowers Appearing

Redbuds are beautiful trees that are known for their early spring blooms. The buds are typically red, but they can also be pink or white. When the buds open, they reveal beautiful purple-pink flowers. The flowers are usually about an inch in diameter and have five petals. They are arranged in clusters along the branches of the tree.

Redbud tree

Redbud trees are native to North America and can be found from Canada to Mexico. They are typically found in deciduous forests and woodlands. Redbud trees can grow to be up to 30 feet tall, but they are usually much smaller. They are relatively fast-growing trees and can reach maturity in as little as 10 years.

Redbud trees are a popular choice for landscaping because of their beautiful blooms and their ability to tolerate a variety of soil conditions. They are also relatively low-maintenance trees. Redbud trees do best in full sun to partial shade, but they can tolerate full shade. They also prefer well-drained soil, but they can tolerate some clay.

To plant a redbud tree, simply dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball of the tree and just as deep. Place the tree in the hole and backfill with soil. Tamp down the soil around the tree to remove any air pockets. Water the tree thoroughly.

Once your redbud tree is planted, you will need to water it regularly, especially during the first growing season. You should also fertilize the tree in the spring with a balanced fertilizer.

Redbud trees are relatively pest- and disease-resistant. However, they can be susceptible to some problems, such as aphids, scales, and leaf spots. If you see any signs of pests or diseases, be sure to treat the tree immediately.

With proper care, your redbud tree will thrive for many years and provide you with beautiful blooms each spring.

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.

We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.

This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
