Note
Please note that the plant will be shipped in its pot, securely fastened with multiple layers of clear tape to prevent any shifting or damage during transit. This ensures that the plant arrives to you with minimal damage, safely and securely. We have been employing this method for shipping plants for several years, occasionally using smaller pots for added safety and convenience during transit. It's important to understand that many plants enter a dormant state during the fall and winter months, resulting in the loss of most leaves and appearing dry or lifeless. This is a natural process, and come springtime, they will begin to regrow and thrive once again. Please be aware that due to regulations set by the Department of Agriculture, there are certain plants and sizes that we are unable to ship to California. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Product Details

Description

Stachys byzantina 'Silver Carpet' – Soft, Silvery Groundcover

'Silver Carpet' Lamb’s Ear is a beautiful and tactile perennial known for its soft, silvery foliage that forms a thick, ground-hugging carpet. Unlike other varieties, this one produces minimal flowers, focusing its energy on dense foliage and excellent ground cover.

Drought-tolerant and sun-loving, it’s perfect for hot, dry spots, edging, rock gardens, or anywhere you want a soft, silvery contrast to greener plants. Its fuzzy texture also makes it a favorite in children’s gardens and sensory landscapes.

  • Velvety, silver-gray foliage all season
  • ☀️ Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil
  • Excellent low-maintenance groundcover
  • Ideal for borders, rock gardens, and dry areas
  • Non-flowering, tidy habit—great for edging

Landscape Tip: Plant along walkways or garden edges for a soft, silvery trim that stays neat and weed-free all season.
